TV5, RPN-9 sanib-puwersa sa ‘Bilang Pilipino 2025’ election coverage


MANILA, Philippines – Ang kasunduang nilagdaan ng TV5 at RPN-9 ay naglalayong palakasin at pabilisin ang comprehensive election coverage campaign ng network na ‘Bilang Pilipino 2025.’

Dahil sa kasunduang ito, sinisigurado ng Radio Philippines Network at ng TV5 na magkaroon ng mabilis at mabilis na live broadcasting ng mga mahahalagang updates para sa kanilang nationwide coverage ngayong May 12 local and national elections.

Kinabitan ang mga headquarters at newsrooms ng TV5 ng mas pinabilis at enterprise-grade na koneksyon at pinalakas ang kanilang mga fixed facilities upang makapag-hatid ng mapagkatitiwalaang balita at impormasyon, at mga entertainment programs para sa mga local at international audiences.

Panayag ng Radio Philippines Network (RPN-9) at Nine Media Corporation President and CEO na si Benjamin Ramos, “RPN-9 has long been a partner of TV5 in delivering digital and media services to Filipinos. We are eager to provide digital support for our Kapatids in their coverage of the national elections, which is proving to be the country’s most pivotal turning point for the coming years.”

Ang mga teknolohiyang ito ay makakatulong sa RPN-9 para bigyang kakayahan ang mga Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng paghahatid sa kanila ng world-class quality na media at entertainment content, mapa free-to-air channel man o sa iba’t-ibang digital platforms, at magsilbing inspirasyon sa kanila para maging kaagapay sa nation-building.

TV5 to cut 700 jobs, may stop airing TV5 Sports programming 'ESPN5'

MANILA, Philippines – Financial losses of TV network Associated Broadcasting Company (now TV5 Network, Inc.) (TV5) will result in the retrenchment of 700 employees and uncertainties over its TV5's sports programming "ESPN5" one of the country's pioneer sports and news channel programs. In press briefing on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar said his office will monitor the network's compliance to the Labor Code provisions in terminating the services of workers.  "The PCOO continues to supervise the operations and management of TV5 and, as we have declared in all of our appearances and statements before both House of Congress, government is committed to protect the rights of the employees of TV5", Andanar said.  The government, however, only has a minority 20.8% stake in following a previous court ruling, Andanar said.
